Joseph Curran has been exclusively dedicated to the practice of immigration and nationality law since 1985, with experience representing clients in all aspects of this area of law. He has served as counsel to numerous individuals, major corporations, universities (including Amherst College, Yale, and other elite institutions), and research institutions, specializing in immigration issues impacting business and health care facilities in the New England area. Mr. Curran currently serves on the Massachusetts Bar Association Bar's Immigration Law Section, as well as chairing the MBA's Immigration Essentials Program. He was recently the lead speaker on international medical graduate issues at AILA's national conference.
Joseph has been an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1985, and frequently lectures on immigration law to business groups, health care facilities, and academic institutions in the New England area. Mr. Curran is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Labor and Employment Substantive Law Committee. As a member of the International Medical Graduate Taskforce, Attorney Curran works closely with U.S. Congressmen and US Senators regarding legislative and regulatory policy to address the needs of international healthcare workers. Mr. Curran edited the “Nurse Immigration Book”, the comprehensive authority on nurse immigration.
In addition, Mr. Curran regularly volunteers his time to support the immigration assistance programs of charitable organizations in the community.
