SSA no-match rule delayed |

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted DHS' motion to stay proceedings until 3/1/08, pending a new rulemaking effort that DHS maintains will address the court's concerns with its regulation on SSA no-match letters. USCIS ans SSA are barred from enforcing the proposed rule until further notice. AFL-CIO v. Chertoff, No. 07-4472 (N.D.Cal. 11/23/07).
