The attorneys and paralegals at Curran & Berger LLP are always involved in a variety of immigration related activities. All of the attorneys are members of several immigration associations and they often present at conferences and workshops. Below is a list of activies and projects that staff at Curran & Berger LLP is involved in. Upcoming Engagements:

 

On Wednesday, March 14, 2012, Attorney Curran will speak at the World Affairs Council in Springfield on Immigration Policy in a Changing Economy. Visit the World Affairs Council website here

The Second Edition of "Immigration Options for Academics and Researchers" will be available beginning at the end of December. Attorney Berger is a co-editor of this book and several Curran & Berger staff members have been involved in the updating and editing process. For more information about this publication, click here

Attorney Kludt will present "Visas After Graduation" at Trinity College on February 7, 2012.

Attorney Berger presented "Permanent Residency Defined" at Harvard Medical School and "U.S Immigration Options for Entrepreneurs and Investors" before the Boston Bar Association, on November 30, 2011. 

Attorney Kludt presented "Visas After Graduation" at Quinnipiac University , November 16, 2011. 
 
Attorney Berger presented at NAFSA 2011 Region XI conference. Topic: "To Sponsor or Not to Sponsor? Tis Nobler to have a Policy". November 10, 8:30 am., Manchester, NH.

Joseph P. Curran 

Attorney Curran joined AILA's  National Day of Action on April 7, 2011 in Washington D.C. for a meeting with senators, congressmen, and key staff to discuss the immigration legislative agenda for the 112th Congress. 

Attorney Curran joined the International Medical Graduate Task Force on April 8, 2011, to address specific solutions to the heathcare shortage issue and the role of international healthcare providers.

Dan H. Berger

  • Contributing author to the Diplomatic Visas Handbook , a 2011 AILA publication
  • Will serve on the periodicals review board of AILA's newest periodicals: the online magazine, VOICE: An Immigration Dialogue and the forthcoming online monograph series, Inside Immigration.
  • Spoke at AILA Audio Seminar on November 30, 2010: Intercountry Adoption What you Don't Know Can Hurt You
  • Participated in AILA comments on the new EB1 evidentiary standards for USCIS and received special thanks
  • Currently editing the Third Edition of AILA's Immigration Options for Academics and Researches and the AILA Pocket Guide to Diplomatic and NGO-based Visas, both scheduled to come out early 2011
  • Was recently named vice-chair of the AILA Healthcare Committee
  • Was a speaker at the AILA 2010 Annual Conference June 30 to July 3
  • Was a panel speaker at the May 2010 NAFSA Conference in Kansas City
